OUR REOPENING PLAN

Beautiful Feet School of Dance is carefully laying out the protocol for reopening slowing and safely this fall. These protocols are based on the safety guidelines set forth by the state of Alabama and can change along with them. Because of this ever-evolving process, the measures set forth are not based on a date-centric timeline. Please stay up to date with us as new guidelines are passed down from city leadership and state leadership. We thank you in advanced for remaining patient and supportive during this time.

Preparation for Reopening

Virtual instruction will still be offered as mode of instruction for the time being with face-to-face being the main mode of instruction.

In-person class numbers will be limited.

A maximum amount of 10 people in the building and in classroom with be adhered to at all times. No exceptions.

Studio will be cleaned daily.

Contactless payment

Studio equipped with a cleaning and sanitation station.

Class times will be adjusted to alleviate crowding during transition.

Markings on the studio floor will help clarify social distancing during classes.

Temperature checks will be required to enter the building.
New Protocol for Students and Families During Reopening

Only dance students will be allowed into the building.

Dancers must sanitize their hands IMMEDIATELY when they enter the building and IMMEDIATELY after class ends.

Drop-off at the front door is required at all times for young dancers. Once drop-off occurs, please do not linger around the front door.

Lobby will remain closed. Teachers will welcome dancers inside within 5 MINS of their class start time. No sooner.

Dancers are required AT ALL TIMES to wear a mask during class and in the building.

Dancers must come dressed for dance. School clothes will not be allowed.

Dancers must not bring excessive bags or items with them. One small bag per dancer is allowed and must only be placed in an allotted area.

All Dancers are required to clean their hands upon entering the building and after class concludes.

Dancers must maintain the social distancing standard of 6 feet from others while in the building.

New Protocol for Staff and Teachers

All Staff and Teachers will be wearing a face covering when inside the building.

All Staff and Teachers will be trained on safety and cleaning procedures.

Staff and Teachers will clean dance spaces after each class concludes.

Prop use will be limited during classes, except colored dots for standing on, which teachers will clean before each class.

Ballet barres will be cleaned before and after every class by teachers and staff.

Safety During COVID-19

If you are feeling sick in any way, you MUST stay home. Makeups will be allowed as long as you communicate with BFSD Staff immediately·

COVID-19 is a highly contagious disease that is spread via droplets to the nose, mouth and eyes. Close proximity to other people, raises your risk for exposure. Choosing to attend classes at BFSD during this time assumes your understanding and acceptance of these risks.

Dance classes are mainly in person. Dancers attending in person classes are required to sign a waiver.

If you or your dancer does test positive for COVID-19 and has been within the BFSD building, you must inform BFSD staff immediately so we can begin emergency cleaning measures and notification to other dancers.
